Terence Mckenna speaks about history as alchemy. Here is a large chunk of his rap from the talk entitled Unfolding the Stone. In this speech Mckenna uses the term “NOVELTY” in a unique way. He cites Alfred North Whitehead as the inovator of the term. if you link to the below youtube video you can find an excellent excerpt of Mckenna discussing his usage of the term. It is near the end of the clip! www.youtube.com Enjoy!

Be dynamic dude, go read a book, and stop acting like “psychedelic viewpoints” are in rigid opposition to more conventional philosophy.

  5. Potmusashi Says:

not to say I don”t think psychedelics have their uses, but diego you did not listen to that entire clip, otherwise you would have noticed that all of the wisdom he was using to support his thesis came from western philosophers and thought in the western tradition people who”s books you may happen to find on college campuses.

cuz school systems only teach students wut is needed for the economy
for “Them” all this psychedelic knowledge is crazy mumbo jumbo
they stick to ONE way of thinking or “believing” and they live their whole life by that and its sad in my opinion. theyll never evolve their mind to not to believe but to THINK
and have a receptive mind and heart and actually try to understand wtf is TIME and reality they rather focus on irrelevant materialistic lifestyles and only seE ilLusionary difFerences

  9. daveyboi03 Says:

why dont we get this kind of wisdom taught to us in schools?
becuase they are just a form of control not to open the minds yet to have the most narrow and jugdmental minds we can
