How has the French philosopher Votaire influenced us today?
writing about the legacy of Voltaire a french phlosopher who believed in freedom of religion and right to a fair trial. What do we have today that still uses his works (other than the books he wrote)

We have a country which started with a Revolution. Voltaire was extremely irreverent and funny. Our best literature today wouldn”t be around without him. He was one of the main philosophers of the Age of Reason, a sceptic to the nth degree. Many of the questions people have about Church and Government begin with him. He saw the gross hypocrisy that was going on in those institutions in his native France. On the basis of that he questioned their authority and the power they held in popular opinion and ridiculed it fiercely and effectively.

Love the curved wood bar stool style shown in lower right hand corner. Would be a nice complement to our home bars.Does anybody know where to find the striped bar stool on the bottom left corner of the image above? I”ve searched high and low and couldn”t find it anywhere on the web. It also amused me that the top ten bar stools article refers to twelve bar stools. Hmm…
