Bill Hicks: What is the point to Life
This is totally profound but TRUE, heard it many years ago, but the full implications only hit me the other day. Sheer Genius, and sadly missed. Bill doesn’t go down well with a lot of Christian Folk(Right Wing) but for me he epitomises the whole Christian view on life, common sense, look through the traditions and see the essence of what life is and what it COULD be.

Once, when I was high as shit, I started thinking. I realized that life is an illusion. Everything we see, touch, hear… it’s not real. What we perceive as reality is just a simulation of the world. A fabrication by our brain, putting energy into a perceptible form, like light, or sound. We ourselves are made of the energy that we perceive. That’s all we are. We are an energy perceiving itself. What Bill Hicks says about us being “one consciousness” made sense when I realized that.

Wise words Bill, but alas I’m afraid there is to much evil in the world and I grow weary. Words from an Austrian scientist comes to mind, Schauberger -” I’ll be glad when I am free of this dung heap earth”, I think he was probably referring to the people rather than the earth itself.

I understand what you mean but most of it doesn’t interest me enough to pay attention to it. of course if there is something that will enrich my personality to watch, then by all means i will. And you are right, it IS fun to make fun of it

@khazal12 To me it’s not eliminating knowlege or what is going on – I love TV – but it’s being real with yourself. Calling out bullshit – making fun of it! I know who Justin Biber is and he’s a little dickhead kid with no talent – but I’ve seen his clips and interviews and knowing more, means more to mock! People lose themselves and that is the problem – not media! Keeping it all real and knowing what is crap, what is lies, knowing what is great like Planet Earth doco etc – just KNOWING!

@u23bancroftl In the end though it can help you to become a happier intelligent human being or maybe not infact there is certainly points in the start of thinking differently you will not feel to great but at least you see through the delusion,and that is a start.

I too have stopped watching the crap on TV. and the predictable false laugh radio duos barfing fucking rubbish every morning .moved out of the city and got a farm and life is great. I left the dickheads behind. Having a ball and watch youtude for Carlin, Hicks, Stanhope and Black to bring me back to reality when I start being sucked into the so called real world. Universe please send more of these bent units down here so at least i have some hope that real people walk among us!

@Openyourheart777 I dont watch all movies. the good thing about movies is that you can choose what you wanna see. i can identify underlying messages and social conditioning tactics in movies and if you can identify them they make the movies even funner to watch because it becomes a game.

Im using Internet Explorer at the moment and your navigation bar looks really screwed up. It might be because Im using an older version, but I thought you should know. It would be a shame if people couldnt navigate your site due to it not being compatible with their browsers.
