WHERE IN THE CONSTITUTION IS DEMOCRACY MENTIONED, The Declaration of Independence, or The Bill of Rights? Is it perscribed in Constitutional Law or American Juris -Prudence? Does democracy come out of Jeckyle Island in 1910 ?

RIP mainstream media.

Now, Chomsky, do I turn to thee, and mark my greeting well; for what I speak my body shall make good upon this earth, or my divine soul answer it in heaven. Thou art a traitor and a miscreant, too good to be so and too bad to live, since the more fair and crystal is the sky, the uglier seem the clouds that in it fly. Once more, the more to aggravate the note, with a foul traitor”s name stuff I thy throat; and wish, ere I move, what my tongue speaks my right drawn sword may prove.

They is listening to the words of my main man, Noam Chomksy. Now listen up, be well clever like him, and start speaking proper.

He fails, however, to address how they are able to have so much power. He fails to address the fact that they get this power through the Federal Reserve.
August 4th, 2010 at 3:13 pm
I agree Chomsky is an eloquent and charismatic figure. He sounds sincere. But just as many Austrian Economist, he traces the problems to the 1970s when Nixon took the U.S. off the gold standard and thus setting this nation on the path of the current crisis-the boom and most currently the bust. What Chomsky fails to mention is the culprit- the Federal Reserve. Although he does mention that it is the banking institutions, and corporation that have the power.

The PDP (People”s Democratic Party)came to power by coup, which was a response to the Daoud government”s assassination of a PDP leader & the arrest & purge of hundreds of PDP members & supporters.
The US supported Islamic fundamentalists against the Russians & PDP even though the fundamentalists had kidnapped the American ambassador which led to his death.
Source: William Blum”s ”Killing Hope” (Common Courage Press 2004). Blum lays out the whole story in 14 pages with 87 references.

Men like Noam Chomsky are only appreciated when they have passed on. People in goverment while he is alive will never promote such a man or his ideals. To do so would be political suicide. One of the greatest minds of my life time.
August 4th, 2010 at 5:10 pm
@volt9999 It”s a defense mechanism. The system would not allow an articulate opponent to the status quo access to mass media.

Too bad the mainstram media has shunned one of the best philosophers of the 20th/21st century.

Did the Afghan Communist goverment come about by a coup or did they come into power with popular support? How did that come about?

I think your missing his point. I got from it that he used those examples to demonstrate the entry of a foreign military that has little to no support from the citizens of Afghan and only supported by a marginal regime. Hence the Soviets as well as the U.S. acted in its own interests by supporting the regime that is in power as well as engaging in military interventions even if its against the will of the population.

Great to see Bensky with such an important U.S. icon having a real discussion in a somewhat mainstream venue….More Bensky, Please!

He likes to use the Russians in Afghanistan – Americans in Afghanistan thing quite a lot but neglects the differences between the cases. Afghanistan had a ”Communist” government which was implementing social chnages. It was the reactionary Afghan landlords, religious fundamentalists and capitalist class that was tearing the country apart. The Aghan government asked the Soviets to assist. With huge backing from various imperial nations financially and ”on the ground”) we all know the outcome.

Hey! First off, I loved your post; it”s better than 90% of the other blog posts I read (and I mean it)! My hubby just asked me to post here. Both of us have been into internet marketing since 2004, so it”s safe to say we”re a bit talented and skillful when it comes to making money online. We”re making a great annual high six-figure income and we live extremely comfortably! Recently we”ve picked up a new software from this site that basically automates what we”ve been doing for years! The cool part about it is the niche we”re in will never become saturated since it”s so general. (hint: think health ;]) The site”s called (this link lowers the price 75 percent to under $50). When you find the right niche, the software pretty much does the rest for you! The niche I found (health) is always open to new customers, and this program basically brings the sales striaght to you. Cool, huh? Anyway, I hope you all do well in your marketing ventures like my husband and I!

Hi, great write-up. We”re big readers of Ron Paul / C4L here too – so much, in fact, that we created a sweet new Ron Paul shirt! Donations are going to the Ron Paul 2012 Campaign, so we figured you might enjoy it.
If you”re interested in blogging about the shirt or have us post about it for you, we”d be happy to hook you up with a “Friends and Family” coupon for them! We”re even trying to open a commission program so that writers like you can recieve a cut from the sale. Please send us an email if you like that, we”d really appreciate it.
Anyhow, nice blog – we joined your RSS feed now so thanks again!
