Are most philosophers against relativism?

Question by ¡Marinabear!: Are most philosophers against relativism?
After taking an Ancient Philo class, I decided to change my major to philosophy because I liked it so much. The main idea that really caught my eye and clicked was relativism. I instantly got into the idea, and the more I read about it, the more I liked it. However, most of the ancient Greek philosophers (and modern philosophers, as far as I know) are completely against relativism. So I guess my question is, why? Are there notable, respected philosophers who were pro-relativism? Thanks!
