The Metaphysical Properties of Lapis Lazuli: One of the True Birthstones of Sagittarius Astrology (November 23 ? December 20)

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

Sagittarius is a masculine fire sign ruled by Jupiter. It rules the 9th House, the Higher Mind & the Search for Meaning.

Jupiter is associated with long-distance travel, both physically and through expansion of our mind, spirit, and how we live a meaningful life. This influence of Jupiter is seen in Sagittarians’ love of world travel as well as religion, politics, and philosophy.

It’s hard not to like Sagittarians, for their openness, generosity, and sociable nature. They are deep thinkers in search of universal wisdom, attracting them to philosophy and religion. Their minds can grasp both the details and the bigger picture: they can think with intellectual precision but also intuitively. That unusual combination of thinking skills allows them to be at the forefront of creative ideas.

They are idealistic and care about the state of the world, leading them to take up vocations in medicine, education, religion, and politics. They need to be highly independent in their work and in their personal lives. They love to travel to widen their horizon and they are fascinated by other cultures.

. Everything about them is expansive: their outgoing personalities, good fortune, sense of humor, optimism, leadership qualities, sense of adventure, and constant quest for knowledge. They love their freedom and independence. They are the ultimate high-energy free spirits—a true fire sign. They easily inspire and motivate others.

The main challenge for Sagittarians is to focus on their most important goals and passions among all that attracts their interest, and channel their boundless energy in those well-defined directions. They also need to apply their need for freedom in a way that allows them to achieve their goals. In other words, Sagittarians can benefit from a dose of self-discipline and focus, especially in their relationships, career, and finances.

Gemstones are the perfect way for Sagittarians to bring focus and balance into their lives.

Gemstones have both physical and metaphysical qualities that can enhance all aspects of your well-being. The perfectly aligned crystal structure of gemstones creates an energy field that interacts with our own when you hold it or wear it on your body. In this way, the gemstone can be used to calm you, bring you mental clarity, increase your energy, enhance your creativity, and much more.

Astrological principles manifest at all levels of creation, from the largest bodies in the cosmos to the tiniest particles of atoms—all are part of the same network of universal energy. Based on the hermetic principle “As above, so below,” those universal principles allow us to read relations among the planets and extrapolate those principles to things here on Earth, to events in our lives, as well as to our natural environment. The universal principles that govern the planets are also seen on the much smaller level of gemstones, crystals, and metals.

]]>

Each gemstone is associated with specific planets. You are already aware that each planet has its own personality in astrology. And each gemstone has a personal “signature”—specific metaphysical qualities, different for each stone, that arise from the stone’s association with its planets based on their individual color, crystal structure as well as the chemical composition. In this article we will talk about one of the true birthstones for Sagittarians which is Lapis Lazuli. You can find more articles on true birthstones in my birthstone series for the other astrological signs of the zodiac on my website or on articlesbase.

By considering the individual signature of gemstones, you can select the right gems for very specific purposes, according to their astrological qualities.

All Gemstones can be used in three different ways:

They are precious that may hold a special meaning for us. We enjoy their beauty by giving them a special place on a shelf, desk, or altar. They can be used in by tuning into their frequency for the purpose of balancing our energy field. They can be made into pieces for our pleasure, enhancing our individual expression of beauty and sense of empowerment. I call those pieces of power soul jewelry.

As you can tell I am very passionate about healing gems and all the different applications of those enchanting allies to raise your frequency for balance and more joy. I have written a book about my over 30 years experience in the field of healing gemstones, meaningful jewelry and astrology.

You can learn more about the metaphysical properties of 67 different gemstones through my book : I teach you about astrology and how to read the blue print of your own chart. If you know where your challenges are, you can then take steps to support or balance yourself with your 12 personal healing gemstones. “Lapis Lazuli is one of the true gemstones of Sagittarius. It is composed of different minerals and therefore some gem experts consider it to not be a mineral, but a rock with Lazurite as its main ingredient. This opaque blue stone is not very hard—its Mohs’ hardness is only 5 to 6, making it easy to carve and cut. For that reason it has been used in jewelry since ancient times. In Egypt it was considered a sacred stone and was used in jewelry and sacred objects like scarabs. To me the most beautiful Lapis is dark blue with spots of golden pyrite, which makes it a very unique-looking specimen. Lapis should be set in gold.

The best and darkest quality Lapis Lazuli is found in Afghanistan. Deposits in Chile and Russia yield lighter blue stones with whitish or grayish veins.

Lapis brings us peace of mind. In a relaxed state of mind we develop a realistic and compassionate acceptance of things as they are. While most blue gemstones used in jewelry are translucent, Lapis is opaque, a quality that helps us achieve a concreteproblem-solving orientation, supporting a very practical mind that focuses on the task at hand and deals with it, rather than being distracted by extraneous worries.”

I wish you a very enchanted journey into the mysterious world of healing gemstones and looking at them in a new way! If you enjoyed this article and my perspective on things, I like to invite you to also visit my Blog where I discuss the actual, universal, astrological forces and the special powers of gemstones and inspire you to use them wisely for a more successful and joyful life.

The Metaphysical laws in the Quran!

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

We can do something about what is happening to our Muslim brothers and sisters. Boycott Israeli products (look at every product you buy and boycott it if it comes from Israel). Encourage our men to go to the demonstrations. Make sincere du`a to Allah for our situation. How pathetic we feel and how little we can really do in the here and now to impact the situation.

I believe that the greatest and most powerful contribution we can make as mothers is this:

Bring up your children to be Mu`mineen, who take the laws of Allah seriously, who are attached to the life of the Prophet sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallam (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Sunnah.

Teach your children history and the lessons of history.

Teach them not just about the physical laws that Newton elucidated so well, but the Metaphysical laws that the Qur`an elucidates so perfectly.

A few days ago we went through the story of the battle of Badr and I taught my children about the Sunnah of Allah, that if He wills he can make a small group of people overpower a huge number of people…I taught them that no one knows the army of Allah but He. 300 men who were less well armed beat 1000 well-armed men that day – I want them to remember that forever. It can mean so many things in their lives: that the little kid can overcome the big bully, that when the odds are stacked against you, if you have Iman (faith), you can win…that quality is more important than quantity…that if Allah is on your side, you have nothing and no one to fear…

]]>

The metaphysical laws that are the Sunnah of Allah are mentioned throughout the Qur`an.

The law that After hardship will come ease.

That Allah obliterates Riba (as we have recently seen) and make Sadaqah profitable
That if you thank Allah, he will give you more…all of these and many more have been mentioned in the Qur`an.

That the Jews and Christians will never be pleased with you until you follow their religion and way of life.

That if you are conscious of Allah, He will give you a way out and provide for you from means that you never imagined.

These are all laws that we can observe and that are talked about in the Qur`an.
If they grow up with Yaqeen (true belief and conviction) in these metaphysical laws, they will be the bravest of men, because the apparent will not deter them…what is visible to the eye will not scare them…they will not be risk averse, rather they will leap off the most dangerous mountain, knowing that they will only be hurt if Allah wills it, they will jump into that deepest ocean, believing that if they are doing so for the sake of Allah then Allah will grant them victory over the waves. They will not be fooled by what seems to be reality because they will be aware that anything is possible if you have Allah on your side.

That is what this Ummah needs. A generation of people who have so much Iman in the sunan of Allah that they will take risks, they will dare to do what no one`s done before, they will be willing to go against the grain, unapologetic, firm in their resolve.

The problems of the Ummah did not appear overnight and they will not disappear overnight. But we, the mothers of the Ummah can set that change in motion…we must set that change in motion.

Why should Man transcend his physical dimension to the metaphysical one?

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

We cannot live as vegetables. But dome of us are. If we do, then we are vegetables, that is planted in the soil, grow to their proper size, yield their produce and then perish. Vegetables, like ourselves, they are submitted to conditions of life survival and a life-cycle. They are forced into this existence and forced to act in the way they do.

They have no options ad no choice to make. An apple tree remains an apple tree, if its structure and its function ad natural development and finality(the apple itself) is not meddled with and disrupted.

We share ourselves with the vegetable phenomena all its dimensions of presence, development, reaching adulthood and maturity, giving fruits of progeny as physical finalities, then decline and perish at the wall of death. In all these stages we have no say, no option and no choice. Everything runs as decided before hand. The way is indicated, the plan is set up, the program unfolds as precisely planned.

Who sets the plan? Who designs the features? Who controls atoms into its shape and form, structure and function? Who is the programmer? Who decides? No body knows, No one can tell; unless You do.

Our human shape and form, structure and function, movement and change are already decided. They are already programmed. They are already planned according to an exceptional order and harmony, beauty and capacity, exactitude and precision. Our presence, utterly enigmatic, is sustained and perpetuated by precise conditions of survival and maintenance. Our systems enables us to live in such conditions on our planet earth.

No one on earth can tell where we came from, why should we live and why should we spend a certain time and why should we die. Religion, being part and parcel of metaphysics which searches for reality and truth, gives hints and explanations. But the plausibility of these proclamations depend entirely on our own convictions, for no proof is provided.

Here, perhaps, we part company with vegetables. We are provided, in our program, with a mind, feelings and soul to discern. We are not only machines and robots of eating, drinking, making sex, surviving only for survival’s sake. We are provided in our systems of how to think, how to imagine, how to conclude and observe, how to live.

]]>

We are curious by our very natural program, inborn impetus drives us to look into the universe, into ourselves and into everything that makes things what they are and then wonder and reflect, think and find out, imagine and conclude. We cannot evade this confrontation which is imposed on very individual of us, every person cannot escape but to think and conclude. We are humans and by our natural nature we look for explanations and answers for our universe, our existence and our purpose of being.

This process is the major part of our existence. We are equipped with everything for this purpose, a presence, a life cycle, a time to live, a brain to think, eyes to see and heart to feel. We come out of nothing and then return into nothing. But things around us confront us with thought and reflection, questioning and convictions.

We look for principles, real principles, for we are not vegetables. We look for real explanations for we are not vegetables. Maybe vegetable are more intelligent than us and have already found their reality as they did naturally find their way in life. But we are thinking humans. We are feeling humans. We are sensing humans. We need to know as part of our curiosity program, our natural program to quest for knowledge and real one at that.

For we are not to be bought by some or other views on the market. We are not subject to brain-washing although our lives are filled with it. We are thinking individuals and every one of us has and is capable to think for himself, or herself. We are equipped with minds and individual minds at that then why share with someone else our own mind? We come solo, we live solo and we think solo then we die solo.

No one other being human or otherwise shares with us this way nor our thinking. Every person of us is alone in his, or her, thoughts. Every one of us is alone in his, or her, life and death. Every one feels alone, suffers alone, senses alone. No other person shares with us our thoughts, our feelings, our experiences. Everyone is alone in this. Our body is alone and our brain lives alone in its cage., thinking and feeling alone independent of others.

Our thoughts are our own, as right and obligation as well as responsibility. We look into the universe alone and think alone and conclude alone. Our convictions are strictly individualistic. It belongs to us individually.

In this lies the freedom, the value and worth as well as self-respect of every human being. Who dares to take this from us. We should never forsake such an independence for others, for the society, for the group, for a party, for a state or for one single thought or the other. We are open as creatures to observe, think and understand and should never let others observe on our behalf, or think on our behalf, or feel on our behalf and above all conclude on our behalf. We should never let others think for us, particularly for our convictions. For wwhether a scientist, a man of common knowledge or a Gourou or a Buddha, they all are like us, share the same things, the same life then is obliged to eat and drink then obliged to dies and disintegrate.

Our thoughts and beliefs belong strictly to everyone of us, independently of the others. In our imposed journey we live and we die, others attempt to influence our thoughts but we are free to think and act as we wish according to our initiative and not that of others. If one of us confronts the universe and concludes a creator, a designer, then it is his right and freedom and independence to believe in such a creator.

If another man chooses not to believe confronting the same phenomenon then it is his right and responsibility to do so. In this lies the freedom and dignity as well as value of a human being.

But we are definitely not vegetables, although sharing many things with vegetables. But man has the brain to think and freedom to choose and act. It is fore possible that vegetables think, feel and sense and should not look at vegetables pejoratively. We are ourselves created creatures with life dimension. Humans have the task to think and make convictions. This is inevitable, inescapable. Maybe the strongest real meaning of life within us is this very purpose.

We, as humans, share with vegetables their existence but can and must transcend physical being to metaphysical being by thinking, feeling and concluding our personal convictions.

We seek reality.

The Metaphysical Core Of The Doctrine of Renunciation

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

The Doctrine of Renunciation from the Texts of the Druze of the Levant is a contrast to the norms of the monotheists which have meanings in different layers relative to the wide range of knowledge realms of self (Self Conception, Self Perception and Self Consciousness). All these compose the degree of reality known to humanity. The conceptual and perceptual aspects of renunciation, which are tied and constrained to the metaphysical core of the Fifth Science, do not overlook the morphe of this spiritual mind science. www.substance.com provides a good resource of the doctrines of the Gnostic Druze which requires that the reader keeps his/her mind open and free of any negative opinions and biases. It is said that knowledge in is truthful form, is incomprehensible to the human mind but can flow and register into the mind instinctively and instantaneously without the intention to convert.

Traditionally, when the mind says no to express a psychological resistance towards a specific object or image, the thoughts formed are hosted mentally. Accordingly, the negation, no matter how positive the intention of the resistance is, the fact remains that it is a type of resistance and this constitutes the act of renunciation. In the spiritual mind science of the Gnostics, the mind refers to the psyche or the realm of the soul in contrast to meditative renunciation which is in the realm of the mind or the consciousness. In the morphe of the Fifth Science, the act of renunciation interprets into the deceptive logic negativity substantiation – at its innermost metaphysical core. The cognitive tool takes its form in the absolute negative zero. This represents the mind’s tendency to entertain the possibilities of an empty frame grasping on its own, apart from the important meaning that comes within, which is named as the numeric possibility.

You will further learn more at www.substance.com, the Renunciation of Thought will not credit for the possibilities of going against the significant image or the renunciation of form. The numeric possibility, therefore, is the logic of renunciation which reflects a behavioral gesture created by it. An act with the mind instinctively carries out as a medium of recollection of the grand wholeness that goes farther than renunciation is the mind’s tendency to conceptualise absolute existence. The mind is susceptible to host the deceptive logic of renunciation which explains its natural tendency to perceive and conceive error at any layer type. This further expresses the ancient equation of the Adamic Fall in which the mind, at any given time, records any type of numeric awareness to any thought and accounts for the innermost metaphysical logic of the original error.

The fight between good and evil represent the confirmation of the possibility of the unknown. This unknown which is said to exist in the shape of nothingness concealed by the knowledge-ability of the form itself. This is where the devil can build obscurity, deprivation of meaning, the fear of the unknown and mentally abusing the resistance logic on all layers to prolong the evil tactics of its continuity and presence – and wasting mental energy.

The Awareness of Metaphysical Laws and Principles Part 3

Monday, September 19th, 2011

There is a strong connection between the immaterial aspects of man and his physical constitution. The mind and emotions affect the somatic system via the vital body, the etheric body with its energy-centers and channels called in Yoga philosophy, chakra and nadi, respectively. These chakras affect the glandular-system according to its state of vitality. Negative states of mind and emotions obstruct or irregulates the flow of the life-force or prana emanating from the sun and streaming into the chakras. This in turn causes the associated gland of the energy-center to be hyper- or hypo-active which manifests as the malfunctioning of the organs and the impairment of the metabolic processes. This sets the stage for disease to occur in the body. An unbalanced and dis-eased state in the physical constitution are therefore the reflected images of our habitual thoughts and feelings. It is the manifestation of the inner reality of mind and emotions. This is not to say that all illnesses are the result of the play of the mind and feelings–there are, of course, a small percentage of illnesses the result of physical causes.

There are four fundamental principles to consider in metaphysical healing:

1) The preparation of the Healer

2) Determining the cause of inharmony

3) The choice of metaphysical therapy

4) The actual healing and teaching

Concerning the first point, every healer should realize that what really heals is the divine power of the Universal Mind. The healer is merely a channel for the healing energies to flow, or at the very least, a catalyst for the healing power that flows from the patient’s divine principle. Because energy is tainted by the channel in which it flows, it behooves the healer to purify his lower being from all obnoxious material. In the ancient Mystery Schools, for instance, every would-be-healer would undergo purification in the form of prayers, fasting, meditation, and other spiritual exercises. This had a three-fold effect–the elimination of toxins from the physical system; the strengthening, vitalizing, and magnetizing of the aura and nervous system–both subtle and gross; and the alignment of the lower components of the microcosm with the divine principles called “the spiritual triad” by Theosophists. This purification makes it feasible for divine forces of vital life, which is a higher form of prana, to flow through the healer. Once having filled the physical body with a harmonious flow of the vivifying principle, the surplus energy would strengthen and magnetize the aura. In Christian scriptures we read of saints healing with their “shadow.” This shadow is in fact the aura.

Another relevant point connected with the metaphysician’s preparation is the polarization of the consciousness. Energy flows abundantly from and to the chakra in which the consciousness is daily polarized. The expressions of love and compassion, for instance, which are vital attributes for the healer to possess, reveals that the consciousness is polarized in the heart-chakra. Expressions of self-centeredness indicate a polarization within the solar-plexus center. A strong altruistic will shows that the polarization is within the chakras above the heart. What this means technically, where divine pranic healing is concerned, is that the polarization within a lower center would make it difficult for the healer to reach and heal the organs of the patient associated with a higher center because of a difference in the frequency octave. Heart troubles, for instance, which is associated with a poor functioning of the heart-chakra, a healer polarized in the solar-plexus will find it difficult to heal, because the necessary energies required to correct the patient’s problem is unavailable, inspite the belief that plain unqualified divine energy is sufficient enough to do the work. Without the right level of consciousness, divine energy entering into the healer would simply evaporate having found no correspondence in likeness within him/her. The divine energies entering the healer is qualified with whatever psychic center the healer polarizes himself. The healer may seek to overide this with the exercise of the will and may succeed to a certain degree, but without the correct polarization the healing process will not be optimal. It is therefore, important for the healer to evolve and function on a higher consciousness-level. This is of prime importance in the preparatory stage. Polarization on the highest centers makes the divine energy flowing through all of the other chakras equally accessible.

In the second point to be considered are the causes of disharmony within the physical system. As we have seen previously, the various manifestations of ill health have its major, fundamental causes in the immaterial aspects of man. The psyche of man is twofold: conscious and subconscious, and they play their part in determining one’s overall state of health. Negative thoughts and feelings are self-destructive. If held in the mind for too long without being checked, they would manifest in an unbalanced condition in the body. The conscious mind is responsible with what it feeds the subconscious side. What the subconscious receives it transmits internally to the physical body, and externally to the environment. In order to get to the root cause of psychosomatic illnesses, the healer has to determine the cause of the problem in the nature of the feelings and thoughts of the patient. It would be an aid for the healer to realize that no matter what negative feelings are felt, or what negative thoughts are being formed, they all stem from the misidentification of the Self, or from the false ego. People say that they are sick or hurt, whereas the “I,” the”Self,” is pure and whole and not subjected to any suffering, discomfort, or any other mortal complaints. The first step, therefore, would be to educate the patient in this “true perspective,” of emancipating the mind from its ignorance and delusions. The conscious mind of the patient should also be made to realize the unnecessity of thinking and feeling negatively, and of the adverse effects that it creates in the physical organism. Methods of cleansing the subconscious mind from “engrams,” or negative packets of energy-patterns should be taught. This purification is usually done be various spiritual exercises such as certain meditations where divine forces are invoked and directed for cleansing, or by programming the subconscious mind with affirmations. This latter approach was made use of in the ancient Egyptian healing temples. Such affirmations identify the patient with the Divine Self. For instance, in the manual, the Book of the Dead, translated by E.A. Wallis Budge, are found the following affirmations:

“I am the Great One, son of the Great One

“I am the Mighty One, son of the Mighty One

“I am Horus, the son of Ra

“I am the Sekhem (power) of my father Ra . . . ” (1953:677)

]]>

The ancient Egyptians represented the aspects and attributes of the Divine Self with various personages and deities. In the above we see how the mortal concept of one’s being is replaced with an immortal, deific one. In the affirmations one is reminded of one’s divinity untainted by any forms of weaknesses or illnesses. Karmic-related illnesses, which at times defies a cure by superficial treatment in the hands of medical practitioners, may be eliminated by the above processes coupled with an understanding of the karmic lesson, repentance and compensation.

The next point for our consideration is in the choice of therapy. It is a fact that for every illness or ailment there is an appropriate cure, or a system of therapy that would return a healthy condition to the physical body. This also includes death, although from our human limited point of view this would hardly be considered as a valid cure. From the above statements we imply that there is no therapeutical system that would heal every single disease known to man. There is, as yet, no Universal Panacea discovered that would cure every affliction of man unless we consider Truth to be a medicine–and a bitter one at that to most people. Holistic healing, therefore, includes various methods that would reach all of the components making the whole being of man, and the healer should determine the appropriate therapy or therapies for each individual case. The methods of alternative healing may be categorized into the following:

1) Esoteric healing

2) Exoteric healing

Esoteric healing, as its name implies, refers to methods that require intense internal preparation on the part of the metaphysician. This preparation as we have already discussed comes in the form of divine attunement with the aid of prayers, meditation, periodic fasting, and a spiritual way of life. Instant transmissions of attunement or power by master-healers to students only opens the way and is not a permanent condition, for one’s mental and emotional state may neutralize what has been transmitted. Living the divine life is a necessity. Once prepared, the healer may make use of the available energies from various sources surrounding his person, and to direct them into the body of the patient. Pranic Healing, Chakra Healing, Divine Healing, Angelic Healing, and Spiritual Mind Healing are some of the methods used in esoteric healing.

Exoteric healing deals more with the methodologies that the average person may utilize regardless of his/her lack of high spiritual attainment and esoteric preparation. These methods include vibrational

When Science is Silence Metaphysics Talk

Friday, September 16th, 2011

cientists are proud with their scientific discoveries. Science now explains everything as most scientists believe. But scientists forget that science does not explain everything. It only explains the how relationships among certain objects. But there remain an immense world where science, with all its progress, cannot even touch.

Values and value systems and evaluations of things are some examples where science does not even venture to explain. Morality and moral codes, where good and evil essential and dominant for man’s existence. Humans are not mechanical robots with springs and calculating devises. Good and bad is central in humanity.

These criterion decides the inter-relations among humans, groups, societies, states, super states. Science does not touch at all on morality. It is simply not its domain. Thus values an value judgment dominating men’s lives are outside the domain of science.

Morality with its complicated systems of judgment and arbitration, a criterion for self-assessment, self- esteem, self-respect and self evaluation is not even mentioned by science. Scientists are concerned with what they discover of how matter behaves.

This is limited strictly to what they can analyze and observe in the laboratory of experimentation. Scientists do not deal in the least with values and morality. Humans life is but subject to the criterion of evaluation and morality.

Science can measure the distance between two objects, does not explain whether such a procedure can be evaluated nor whether or not is subject to good and evil. Science is concerned of the physical aspect of things and never of the aesthetic or spiritual or moral aspect of objects. Thus anatomy, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics deal only with the physical aspect of what is object to observation.

A tree, an animal, a metal, a microbe or a human being are all subject to physical investigation, study, analysis and conclusions. But the aesthetic side of an animal, flora, metal or a human being is not subject to scientific research, reasoning and concluding. It cannot be subject to science for its cannot be verified.

Science does not deal with value judgment and morality for these cannot be subject to empirical investigation. But knowledge is not only limited to physical chemistry, physics, biology, genetics, nano- engineering or astrophysics. Knowledge is especially concerned with everything, including the behavior of humans.

]]>

This is left to social sciences that are not at exact or applied sciences but left to experimental experiences that does not yield scientific fruits.

Scientific reasoning leading to scientific knowledge does not explain, with all its advancement today, scientific evidence for ultimate questions. Ultimate questions are concerned with scientific investigation as with regard to the origin of objects of science. What is the origin of a tree, an animal or a human being.

The Origin remains one of the fore enigmatic, a complete mystery, that science does not discover, or unveil. It falls short of explaining the origin of matter, the universe, galaxies and stars, life dimensions. Science does not explain in any way the presence of objects, the presence of the universe and the presence of life itself. Science is handicapped in explaining death for example, let alone explaining life and its development, life cycle, ageing and then death. These are domains of scientific investigations but science does not uncover its mysteries until the present time. Science with all its scientific discoveries is unable to explain its first subject namely matter. What is matter? Science remains silent. How did matter come about? Science remains silent. What is the origin of matter? Science remains silent. How did the structure of matter come about? Science remains silent. Well, what science is this?

Scientific thinking doe not deal with the most important question for mankind: God is or God is not? Scientists, being mechanical instruments of calculation and observation, in their scientific do not consider the question whether or not there is a creator for the universe. They do not answer the questions of where did the universe, object of their scientific research, come from. They are no concerned with its origin, its, presence, nor with its finality.

Finalities to science are in the real of conjecture for it cannot be subject to scientific analysis, evidence and proof. Everything has a finality which is made for. An apple tree has finality in the apple itself. Finality of a species is its mature adult form. Finality, science it cannot be subject to laboratory investigation, remains outside the real of science and scientific thinking.

The plausibility or implausibility of the religious argument is outside the real of science since it cannot be seen, or be subject of observation, analysis and conclusion. God is not subject of empirical knowledge, which explain the reject and denial of God by most scientists. In their scientific investigation they do not need a God. When Napoleon Bonaparte asked Laplace : ‘Your work is excellent but there is no trace of God in your treatise.’ Lapalce answered : ‘Sir, I did not need this hypothesis for my work.’

Thus science does not deal with God and hence rejects God as a hypothesis. But scientists themselves do not have any answers, scientific or otherwise to ultimate questions such as the presence of the universe, its origin, its dilution , its control, its foundation structures, and its change.

They have no answers about two millions of animal species, their presence, their coming about, their origin and their development and finalities.

Thus the most important questions are not dealt by science.

It is at this very crossing point that man is need to explain his presence, the universe, his origin and that of the origin of the universe. Until science uncovers such knowledge science remains limited and handicapped, just like Stephen Hawking, the astrophysicist who denied the existence of God, without explaining the origin of the universe, its presence and matter-structure.

The realm of metaphysics deal directly with the most important questions namely the reality of everything. It deals with the real, the principles of everything and the first principles at that. God being the first principle to Aristotle is not neglected by Descartes Bacon and Laplace, who believed in God by faith and tried to reason out His presence.

Only metaphysics asks such ultimate questions and attempts answers. Metaphysics is in this way more complete than science dealing not only with physical aspect but with all aspects of a thing or an object.

The Metaphysical View of Death and Life After Death Part 11

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

To conclude this section may we just add that Newton’s subjects emphasize strongly that God is never once seen in the higher realms, although a strong feeling of a Supreme Power is felt ruling the ongoings of devachan, or “heaven,” and the kinetic motion of magnetic streams of energy flowing in the atmosphere and environment. This truth denounces certain religious beliefs that in heaven one would finally see God face to face–for while on earth one may not see God’s face and live, one would surely behold God’s countenance in heaven. This principle has been vmisunderstood and misinterpreted for the past two thousand years; it should actually be understood in a mystical rather than in a literal manner. It reminds us of Gautama Buddha’s silence when questioned about God–the implication of his subtle answer revealing a profound truth to the initiated.

Summarizing the scientific viewpoint on death and the afterlife–based on years of careful psychical, parapsychological research–the following conclusions have been reached:

1) That humans are essentially immaterial in nature and that the human essence, or self-awareness, survives physical death.

2) That human soul-units exist at differentiated levels of awareness in dimensions beyond the physical light-spectrum, beyond the reach of physical sensory perception.

3) That contact with departed souls is a possible feat under certain conditions and circumstances.

4) That all human soul-units periodically re-embody or reincarnate to continue their evolution.

5) That all re-embody according to the law of causation, or karma; or soul desire.

DISCUSSIONS

As we have seen in the previous chapter, death according to the various traditions, metaphysical experiences and modern scientific discoveries, does not annihilate the human soul; and relationships formed on the physical plane do not cease at the termination of one’s incarnation, as is normally believed; also, one’s aspirations, goals and ambitions, though simply and seemingly cut-short prematurely at a stroke of the scythe by the grim reaper called death, is actually brought over to the Otherside for a further strategic development that would bloom in a later incarnation. We have also seen that the nature of death and the afterlife can be known to those who are willing to develop the necessary sensory faculties of the astral form and its ability of soul-flight. Additionally, we have dealt somewhat of the nature of heaven and hell, including the Judgment, from the various metaphysical, religious and scientific perspectives. We have described and hinted of some of the ways and means of avoiding those undesired experiences, states and conditions to be found in the bardo, and even in the lower astral. Non-attachment to the physical form and earthly life is helpful in the process of a peaceful and easy transition, and in a smooth journey through the bardo–this ought to be kept in mind. And lastly, with the descriptions by subjects of NDEs and communications from the beyond concerning the death process, we can be assured that dying does not have to entail any mental, emotional or physical agony; on the contrary, it may result in one of the most joyful states that average souls may experience at its present evolutionary level. It provides a certain pre-taste of what the nirvanic state is like when once the soul is liberated and fully aware of its divine unity with All That Is.

Humans may fear death, but “being dead” is actually the present state of awareness of most people. To be unaware of one’s higher microcosmic principles is simply a consciousness of death. What separates the seen from the unseen is the level of one’s waking consciousness, and the psychological impurities within one’s subconscious mind. There are several components in the microcosm making up what we call the divine, human being. The more components we are aware and conscious of, the more alive we become in the spiritual sense. Non-experience of the higher principles and realities do not mean that they do not exist, it is just that the faculty for higher perception has not yet been developed. Fear is what closes the veil to spiritual knowing. When we fear, we circumscribe our consciousness. Fear of the unknown, is the ignorance of the source of our fear. Identification with mortal principles simply perpetuates (or perpetrates?) one’s mortal existence as a normal human being–and it also maintains one’s fears. We are meant to be perfect–as advised by the Piscean Master–perfect in consciousness, in knowledge, and in awareness. Attaining immortality, or awareness of such, requires the shedding of mortal concepts, beliefs, attitudes and feelings. With such spiritual labour we gradually build the link between the lower and higher principles and ensure the continuity of consciousness, and the awareness of the illusory nature of death. With each extermination of a false concept we become more alive in a spiritual sense. Death, “the last enemy,” as declared in scriptures, though inevitable, will be swallowed up in victory when once its maya-nature is understood and the continuity of consciousness acquired. Death will then lose its sting. Death ends when once the multidimensionality of one’s being is realized, and when once one’s liberation from the wheel of reincarnation is attained. What we call death is an illusion. This is echoed in the words of the Taoist poet, Chuang Tzu:

“Birth is not a beginning, death is not an end.”

Fear simply robs individuals of their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energies–energies which could be used for more constructive and creative purposes. When enlightened of the nature of death, like Socrates, we will not fear it; and this knowledge, understanding, and enlightenment would greatly help humanity to live an abundant life, as promised by Master Jesus. Like a chain effect, the awareness of the non-existence of death and the truth of man’s purpose for being would improve the quality, nature, and service of every governmental department and institution, affecting society’s consciousness, development and welfare. But to return to the emotion of fear ingrained in Man, there are several principles that assist one to “die” without fear:

]]>

1) Non-attachment to physical form, earthly possessions, and relationships.

2) Understanding that death is natural and that it does not end one’s aspirations.

3) Understanding and being aware of one’s true nature as divine and immortal.

3) Preparation through spiritual practices such as meditation, purification, and the acquisition of merit through service.

4) The unfoldment of love and compassion.

From a higher perspective, death is no enemy. It is a merciful friend that grants us rest at a time when we need it. It provides a moment’s respite until we re-engage ourselves in the battle of life through another incarnation with new–or old, unlearned experiences. What is important is the assimilation of experience, for if it does not take place, it will have to be undergone again and again until the lesson inherent in each one is learnt by the soul; this can sometimes prove to be wearisome. Life on earth should not be seen as a chance happening, as a biological occurrence in time and space, or as a chemical formation spawned by chaotic forces. Life is Real, is the only Reality and has a definite purpose. Knowing that life was formed on the earth plane for a purpose encourages the soul to discover that purpose. Soul-objective is known to the awareness-principle at deeper levels of consciousness and at the conscious level prior to incarnation. The purpose or intent of the Spirit, however, is normally forgotten once the “waters of Lethe” is drunk during the process of birthing.

Our main task set by evolution is to be aware or more conscious of the “unconscious” levels of the mind; thus transcending the state of mediocrity or mortality. Mortal beings are not courageous enough to think, contemplate or face the conditions of death, they thus miss the true opportunities that life affords. When one fears death, one has not yet begun to live. “Death” to average individuals, is always thought of in connection with other people and never their own. This refusal to be spiritually-aware bind souls to an unproductie life in the cosmic scheme. This is the complaint of all mystics concerning the sons of men. In the Old Testament we read,

“Man lies down and never rises. They rouse not from their sleep.” (Job 14:12)

From what we have said so far, it may be surmised that there are various forms of death, and this is true. St. Paul hints of this when he declared, “I die daily” (I Cor 15:31). We tabulate the forms of death in the following:

1) Death to higher realities and verities

2) Death to a higher awareness of divinity

3) Death of one’s slumber in matter

4) Death of the false ego and its carnal, self-centered desires

5) Death of sleep

6) Death of the physical and etheric bodies

7) Death of the astral body

8) Death of the mental form

We will briefly describe each one: death to higher realities and verities, and the death to higher awareness of divinity are related. This is in fact the involutionary path of the soul as it descends for the first time in a new cycle of manifestation, or “manvantara.” In involution the soul loses a

From actual observations to philosophical speculations to metaphysical convictions!

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

We are faced with an immense living universe. We are made to observe and to conclude. Even little children want to know why should there be rain and who is God.

Being big children ourselves we have the natural instinctive curiosity to look about us and wonder, observe and conclude.

We undergo this experience and we make our own ideas according to our own understanding and reflection. Thoughts are merely representations of our interaction with the universe and conclusions from it. Every individual has his own share of his own reflections, about the universe, what is it, where did it come from, how did it come about andwhat are we doing here.

But, most people, if not all, cannot tell who are we, how come we are here and not elsewhere, who put us here and what’s it all about. Whether we conjecture and gues to the utmost of philosophical speculations or we try to pry into the mysteries of this universe and cannot find anything solid to base our philosophy but have to move into the hemisphere of metaphysical thinking, we all try to understand by reflecting and thinking.

]]>

We are forced to conclude with regard to these questions and when our conclusions are not up to our expectations we start speculating into metaphysical plausibility. Science is unable to find answers at the time being. It stops at the frontiers of philosophy and metaphysics.

The scriptures tell us God created the heavens and the earth and what is in between. God made us to observe and gave us some time to do it, enough time that is. For some others, and there are many of them, such speculations are unscientifically illogical conclusions and they land in philosophy. But at times, if not most of it, philosophy part company with metaphysics, and metaphysics become our spaceship to the unknown. The observable remains the spring board for either perspective. For the donkeys on two legs, limited to scientific discoveries, they reject philosophy and metaphysics.

The physical sensible leads, by necessity, to the intelligible. We have to observe and conclude whether there is a God or not, here science is limited to what can be proven, then metaphysical belief or disbelief takes over and we are left to our own convictions, lack of proof or disproof.

Science is not only limited to the perceptible but it ends up in the intelligible, without being able to answer ultimate questions like the meaning of the presence of the universe, its origin or its directionality nor our own finality. It shuts up itself on speculations, but these are inevitable for the human race.

At best, we remain marginals, flabbergasted by the landscape, but unable to resolve the unfathomable enigma.

We are creatures of observations, masters of speculations and slaves of convictions!

Metaphysics deal with the real, but how real is the real?

Monday, September 12th, 2011

What is real and what is unreal? What is true and what is untrue, or false? We must have criteria of definitions and identifications. If real refers to the concrete, verifiable to everybody then we are facing a big problem. That is if what we observe and verify by experience and then classify as empirical knowledge, is simply an illusion and our identification of the object or the subject or event is false.

If things, being constituted in its recognizable form and shape, are made of atoms then we are against a wall of complete mystery. Our knowledge of atoms is limited to that atoms are the smallest element of matter. Here we are completely at loss, for no one can tell what matter is, substance is, or atoms are! Scientist pretends to such knowledge.

Atoms, are unknown in their structures, function, origin, the substance that constitute atoms, their presence and their characteristic features, not to forget their finality, intern or extern. We acknowledge that matter , or substance, is made of atoms, but how matter came to be in its shape, form, function, structure and myriads of other characteristics, no one can tell.

What makes atoms different from each other and why? Remains a mystery. We only deal with what atoms allow us to discover about its structure and function. But we are never intelligent enough, at the present time at least, to get to know the nature, essence and what put the atom in its form, shape and gave it all its qualities and characteristics.

]]>

Some atoms of uranium enriched 236 being object to bombardment by some protons at a high speed we face an immense energy of the atomic power. This energy can be used industrially to produce electricity or other energy or for war purposes, as terror deterrent, for example. We have not the faintest idea why should such few atoms of plutonium produce such an energy.

The secret lies in the atoms itself. Where did atoms come from and why? No one can answer the question. Is there a God creator that created atoms then made substances from it? Your guess is as good as mine, someone must have done it. If is not you nor I then someone did. Ni proof for this assumption but our mind is unsatisfied with materialistic explanations and spiritual ones lack any evidence. Such questions such as who made the atoms and how did the universe, being made of these, atoms came about, with such a perfection, order, harmony, control and precision, are still unanswered.

If the subject of metaphysics must deal, a priori, with what is real, then how real is metaphysics? Science has killed metaphysics for it demands proof and there is no one proof, or evidence for all the real of metaphysics or any one of its subjects.

In metaphysics we have to consider physics in order to attain metaphysics. If metaphysics deal with fundamental principles then how can we verify any of its presumptions or conclusions in this respect.

No one subject can be scientifically identified. It is simply not the domain of science.

Science considers what is real when we are able to verify it, but as mentioned above this cannot be the case, not even in verifying anything of wht science is able to claim real.

Is our presence real in this universe? No one knows, unless you do. We are made of atoms ourselves and we have not the faintest idea who are we, where we came from, what are we doing here and where are we going? All is mystery, big enigmas in the domain of the unknown, whether scientific proclamations or metaphysical presumptions.

We simply do not know!

Here, the real loses its reality and becomes utter conjecture.
